Change detection was carried out by visual comparison of IMAGE2006 and IMAGE2012 satellite imagery (with CLC06_revision vector data overlaid for spatial reference). Ancillary data, such as national orthophotos, digital topographic database, Google Earth imagery were used to support the change mapping process. All identified changes were drawn and attributed by interpreters as polygons and automatically written by the InterChange in the CLC-Changes2006-2012 database - separately for each working unit. Steps to create the seamless CLC-Changes2006-2012 database were as follows:- All working units were joined into one seamless database by using merge and dissolve tools from Esri ArcTollbox;- Border errors between working units were corrected;- All data controls were done (ranges of attributes, size of polygons less than 5 ha, width of polygons less than 100 m) using ArcGIS software and ArcInfo Workstation;- Topological correctness were checked;- The CLC-Changes2006-2012 database was created in accordance with the specificationsCLC2006_technical_guidelines and Addendum_2012_to technical guidlines_13112012.
